There is an admin setting that can be enabled where the asset location is updated based on the owner's location. This would have to be enabled by an iiQs admin at your district site.
Also, you can build an asset custom view and use the filter called “Asset and Owner Location Mismatch.” You can create a custom view with this filter and then add the columns Owners Location and Assets Location to see the difference.

+1They are coming from a different middle or high to us. They don't show up as not having a device from our school because they still have a computer from the school they were at.
+2If you look at Revisions on that particular student it will show if there is a device assigned to them.
