When I assign a device, I want to write to the Notes field of the device, “Assigned on (date)”. Is there a way to insert today’s date in that field, maybe with inserting tags of some sort?

You might know this already and you might still want this request, but on the timeline tab, you can see the date and time it was assigned, are you looking for a different functionality here? Just curious.
I’m wanting to specifically write this Notes section to Google for Chromebooks. For devices that are assigned, the Notes custom field will say “Assigned on <<date>>”. For devices that are unassigned, the Notes custom field will say “Unassigned on <<date>>”
