Rapid Scanning checked in inventory

Our district is brand new to iiQ this year and need to be able to rapid scan current inventory to check for inventory accuracy.

For example; I checked in all of my Chromebooks during EOY collection. Now I want to rapid scan them all again to make sure they all scanned in correctly. But I can't find anywhere in iiQ where I can just do a rapid scan of current, mostly checked in inventory without having to manually clear the field to scan the next barcode. This is extremely time consuming as I have around 2,000 Chromebooks in my office. I just want to be able to re-scan inventory at any given time without having to clear out the scan field after every barcode. Is there a way to do this? I’m not an admin, just an agent with limited permissions.

Hi @RLewis 37b00a bcboe! Rapid scan is available from ANY iiQ page! Just make sure your cursor is NOT in the global search bar (the looking glass in the top right corner). If it is you will scan one asset and then move on to the next asset scanned instead of creating a view of all the assets you are scanning.

Here are a few helpful KB guides to help you out:

Hope this information helps!

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, my district didn’t give us at the school level edit permissions in iiQ, so some of this doesn’t work for me. I appreciate the information.

@RLewis 37b00a bcboe You should be able to do rapid scan with basic permissions as long as you can view assets. With this process, just scanning a device (make sure you are not clicked into the search) with a scanner should allow you to scan multiple assets. Do you know what permissions you have in reference to assets?
