Hello all, anyone have a method to stop say after X days tickets from being reopened ?

We have had a few people open up tickets from years ago, and I would like to curb it past asking nicely.

Hi @ADeLacy Please see the link below for more on the enhancement we added to control the number of days after which a closed ticket cannot be reopened via Site Options.

Thanks @ADeLacy for submitting your question!

Reopen Resolved Timeframe can be controlled within Admin > Site options.

Thank you!

Does this also work if someone replies to a ticket email that is past the days set? If it also doesn’t reopen the ticket, does the user get any sort of information about that or will they just assume we got the update?

It doesn’t. I set up a rule that matches the number of days we set (5) to email the submitter:

Not sure why my screenshot above shows the “Ticket State” as “Unassigned”, but it should be set to “Closed”.
