Hi

Is there a way to add the “Additional Followers” field in the form for events?

Hi, @JSanic 607fe2f friends Im a Implementation Specialist with Incident IQ. Is your goal to be able to add “followers” as in additional users within the form who should be notified for the event? Please share a use case so that I can see if this is a possibility.

Yes!

For example when someone is submitting an Event ticket they sometimes like to add external users such as parents so they can follow along with the ticket and receive comments and so that they are able to respond to the comments as well. I hope this helps!

@JSanic 607fe2f friends Great Question! Thank you for submitting to our community! 😄

When you are creating that event request, you could add a custom field to have the user request that additional people be notified. Do you currently utilize custom fields?

@Kathryn Carter Hi

Yes we do on the events side. From which field type do I choose from so that way it acts as the “Prompt for additional users to be notified when creating tickets” field? I would also like to know if I can do it in a way to include external emails from outside our system?

 Thanks!

@JSanic 607fe2f friends There it is, that was the wording I was looking for to click in my brain! Yes, that is a sight option you can enable 😄

Thanks for being patient with our replies!

Hi @Kathryn Carter I have that checked off but do not see the option when going through the event form. I do see it if I have it checked off in the ticketing portal but not in the events side.

INTERESTING! @JSanic 607fe2f friends. So if that did not work, let’s get a custom field that is required for your events that asks for an email of an iiQ user for you.

Here are the examples I threw together real quick. You do not have to make it required if you don’t want to make them add a user each time.

Please note: that if you are wanting to add external user email that are not already in iiQ, you can just add a text section instead of the field type being iiQ user.
