Assets

Has anyone else been having an issue with spare pools where the dashboard shifts to the right and cuts off the check box. It is fine when we are on the first page but when we adjust how many things are on the screen or go to the second page it happens.  Here is a screenshot.  

Hello, When trying to import assets, iiQ skips all records with the message:  User does not have 'assets.create' to LocationId Also, some records say “Model is required”. That issue applies to items where we want to track the maintenance being performed, but there is no applicable model number for the asset. Any help would be appreciated.

I want to create an Asset view that shows recent assets I have attached to my tickets assigned to me? :S I just want it for the dashboard..lol Thank you for any help. 

HI,  Is there a way that you can allow users to only verify their own/assigned assets? Let’s say staff/faculty as an example. Not seeing a way to do this unless more edit rights are given. I do not see where you can allow verifications, but no editing.   Thanks,

I am attempting to set a rule that will automatically set a deploy date whenever assets are transferred from "in storage" to "in service." Although I have implemented this rule for devices that are "checked out" to a user, some of the assets are assigned to a particular room instead of a user.I am wondering if anyone has discovered a workaround to enable this feature to work correctly. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! We have two locations that have merged into one. Is there an easy way in iiQ for me to merge all of the ticket and asset data from one Location into the other?

Is there a method to checkout a device with “time allowed” and then have iiQ automatically send a “nag” for the user to return the device (when “time allowed” has passed)?

I don't want Agents/Faculty to see other schools' spare pool groups. When my media specialist goes to Manage Spare pools, she can see every spare pool group created by other District media specialists.

Chrome OS is imported from google admin and shows when I view assets individually, but when I want to export I can choose chrome os as a column, but only zero’s show populated in column.  

I am wanting to update multiple assets to different room locations. When using the template the action shows “create new”. These are not new assets just that i need each asset moved to a different room location. Is this the correct way to perform this action or is there a different option I need to try?

I added two Chromebook’s into my assets and they are showing up in my counts but when I try and search them they do not show up. I cannot pull them up to edit them or anything. 

Is there a way to create a column in a view that has the date a device was checked out? I am trying to make an export to import our SIS of the students ID number date device assigned to them but can't find a way to get that date in the view. 

Hello! I am new to IQ & I am trying to locate the archived imports that were previously done with our assets. I see some of the imports say “Import results have been archived” but cannot locate where they are. I need to verify some items imported but not sure how to locate the archive. Appreciate any help on locating that. Thanks!

We are trying to utilize storage tracking but would love a way to generate a label with a barcode to represent that storage unit. Is there a way to do this that I am missing?

Is there a way to track a purchase process in IIQ? This would start from the quote, PO number, order number etc. I want to input the info pending delivery, is that possible?

Greetings, Under asset explorer, before the update you were able to search assets in a room by changing the dropdown from all assets to room number.  The option is still there but when you type the room number nothing comes up.  Is this feature no longer available? 

We have Chromebook Spare Pools for each of our schools. Currently the only way for me to get an export (excel) of them is to go to Assets Explorer, click on each individual spare pool, and exporting them one by one. This takes a VERY long time, we have a lot of schools. Even worse is you can’t right click and open in new tab, to open a bunch of them all at once. Have to click on one, export, go back, wait for it to load, click on another, rinse and repeat.When I’m viewing the spare pool it shows a special filter:Yet clicking on that automatic filter does nothing, it just spins forever:I also don’t see any Spare Pool filters in the Filter screen:

Does anyone use IIQ to track changes for assets? For example;Record when a switch’s firmware is updated Record when security patches are installed on a virtual serverHow are you doing it? I’m not sure that creating a ticket each time for the asset would make for an easy to read change log.

I have the following mapping set up for IQ. When I run a full sync, it doesn’t seem to move chromebooks to where they need to go in Google Admin. Is there something that I am missing? I do have locations mapped. Could this be causing the issue?  

I’m seeing that when a device is deprovisioned in Google Admin, the Google app data isn’t updating in IIQ. For example, IIQ still shows the device is active in Google when it shows as deprovisioned in Google Admin. Is data no longer synced once it’s deprovisioned in Google? Or is there a setting I need to check?

Hello! We did our Google Admin Chromebook Asset bulk import to IncidentIQ and we have been entering asset data into the tickets and it’s been working great. Now that I’ve been through the process, I’d kind of like to just start over on our Chromebook import with as much clean Google Admin info as possible (When running the Google Devices Sync I have about 900 skips because there are assets conflicted over Asset Tag #’s already being used with a different Google Device ID). Can someone tell me, if I were to delete all of our Chromecast assets from the Asset explorer, will that remove the asset information from tickets that we’re already worked through? Or is there a better way to consolidate these devices by matching Google device ID? Thank you! Scott Sandrock

My assets are not importing correctly and now I have duplicate assets.  Can someone please help?

Good morning! I’m new to the IIQ Admin role and have been annoyed by a common issue when importing assets. First, when I “Add Field Mapping: SKU Number” it targets the field of “PO Number” for some reason even though that field has it’s own Target Field.   Then is there anyway on the backend to add the custom mapped fields so that when I do import I won’t have to custom add the Field Mapping? 

I started playing around with the Spare Pools by manually adding a device.  I would like to now bulk add more devices into a group.  I have all the asset tags for the devices, but I can’t figure out a way to bulk edit devices into a spare group.  My workaround so far has been to upload a csv with a column for spare pool that includes the Pool Name.  After uploading the file I noticed the original device is the only one still listed in the pool.  When I did a closer look at the import I noticed the original device had this comment.Does anyone know the syntax I need to use in the Spare Pool column for my upload so that I can bulk add to this Spare Pool? I appreciate your help!Nick

When a Student goes NoAccess, a Teacher loses the ability to assist Tech in recovering Assets since they are unable to view the Student.How can a Teacher (or last Teacher of record) keep the ability to view their NoAccess Student’s Assets.This only get more complicated by the fact that Followers cannot view tickets in the iiQ web interface (only emails).
