Good morning! I am trying to create a rule that when a device is in a specific OU in Google Admin, it updates the device to “In Storage”. I am able to do this easily. My question is is there any way to make it update when Google Devices syncs overnight? I have the rule set to “On ‘Updated’”, but it does not update after a sync. Do I have to manually update it for that to work?

When I attempt to print asset labels through IIQ, I am unable to get them to print landscape, rendering them functionally unusable.This is a new development, as it worked correctly before the weekend.This is happening to not just me, but everyone in the department who tries to print asset labels.It is not an issue with my settings or the device, as labels print correctly in landscape in every other instance, including other Chrome locations and in the Dymo application. When I choose to Print Asset Label, I am not presented with the option to adjust the orientation of the print job. Even when I choose to “Print using system dialog...” and ensure

I would really appreciate a feature where you could check a box perhaps on the check in/out screen and see a the full history of devices checked in/out for the day. As it is, as soon as you navigate away from the check in/out page, the history erases and you can’t see prior check outs for the day. Even a report option where you can see check outs for a given day would be helpful as well. 

We have our teachers checkout/assign chromebooks during preplanning to their students. We have them navigate as follows:My ClassesHRCheck Out Assets When we do this, it doesn’t change the device’s status to ‘In Service’. I would VERY much like to find a way that we could achieve this without having to give the teachers elevated rights. Any thoughts?

Does the API querying have access to Depreciation Information, such as Replacement cost? I get a whole lot of fields back when getting an asset but I do not see Replacement Cost.

Hey, I am interfacing with the API using Google App Scripts using HTTP post. I'm wanting to grab several assets from a search and filter based on AssetTag. I can easily get something with an AssetTag of 2101011 but I don't know how to get all the assets with an AssetTag starting with 21. Is this possible? I loved to be able to do this. My current json body query looks like:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetTag","Value": "123456"}]}I’d like something like:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetTag","Value": "12%"}]}Which gives me all the assets starting with 12

When I am viewing an individual user and click on one of their assets, frequently what opens is the last View I had open instead of the Asset record. This has been happening for a few weeks now. I have seen that the system seems to work in layers, so I think what’s happening is that the asset is  hidden beneath the View that comes to the top.  But I can’t get to the asset without trying the whole thing over, or closing the tab and reloading IIQ. I have checked around the borders of the window, looking for an “edge” or some way to get to lower layers with no luck. 

In the default asset csv download, there are some fields that do not map to the asset record in IIQ:Retired Date, where does this value in the csv file map? Is the ‘Last Inventory Date” field in the csv meant to map to the “Last Verification” field in the asset record? Finally, if I have a “OnOff” field in the asset record and want to add that field to the csv file import, what value to I provide in the csv? Are these yes/no or 0/1?  

We are looking for a way to assign only the verity permission to a certain group of District Level Tech.  We do not want them to be able to edit or delete the asset, just verity it.  Can this be done and if so what permissions would need to be set?

I’m looking to clean up my options once I click on Assets.  Right now I have 14 views that list out every time I click.  This makes it so I have to slide/page down to get to the ‘Check In/Out’ option.  This is especially tedious to do on the mobile app.Is there a way to create a folder system for my views so that I can group them and thus shrink the number of views on my top level?

Are there any ways in IncidentIQ to programmatically (or through a report) access files that have been attached to assets? Or to create views that filter assets by whether or not they have files attached to them?We are interested in tracking images of damage, repair document history etc to assets vs tickets, so we can keep a better overview of the history of damage on devices.

We are battling students bypassing our web filtering, when they do this our web filter just reports an IP address instead of a username. I know the IP address is in IncidentIQ and that would tie it to a device thus tying it to a student. Is there anyway to search by IP or MAC address?

Via iiQ and google admin we’ve set up a great workflow to bulk powerwash CBs, has anyone done anything similar with iPads? We are testing intune and iiQ to see if its possible. 

Hello When looking up a asset in IIQ the information for the ethernet mac address is not showing up in the networks details in IIQ. I am wondering how I can resolve this 

How do you handle technology accessories that are issued with a device - ie: power cords, Apple Pencils, hubs or any other accessory without a serial number? Specifically for Staff - retiring/resigning staff that return equipment and say they weren’t issued certain pieces 

We are trying to determine which users/students utilize our loaner devices policy the most so we can identify which users are abusing our loaner policy.Per asset in the timeline tab we are able to see the history of all the changes made to the device including the past owners of the device. However there does not seem to be a way to export the data for multiple devices timelines at once. There also does not seem to be a device history timeline in the user data tabs.We are open to using the API but cannot seem to locate how to export a devices timeline of events.Anybody know how to pull this data? as it seems strangely inaccessible.

How are you tracking all the tech accessories; like cables, usb fobs, mice, HDMI adapters, etc.? Are you utilizing them as parts or trying to use them as assets? I believe if I use the parts tool, I have to have a ticket to assign it to and that doesn’t seem to work the way I was hoping for.I am trying to figure out how to track who get them since they continue to disappear, and then how many we would still have in stock. So.Many.Parts.I did see an idea posted about a year ago, so I wasn’t sure if people have figured out something that works since then.Thanks for any help or suggestions with this. 

How does your district track and manage device fees when your fee management system doesn’t integrate with IIQ?Our district plans to implement an upfront device fee (insurance) for students. Depending on the selected fee structure, students may incur additional fines for device damage throughout the school year.Our district already uses RevTrak for all payment collections, but it does not directly integrate with IIQ. However, our SIS, Skyward, does communicate with IIQ. Our challenge is determining the most efficient way for RevTrak to share payment data with Skyward and for Skyward to update IIQ accordingly.We are exploring potential workflows or automation to streamline this process and ensure accurate tracking of payments and device status. I would love to hear what other districts are doing when their fee management system does not integrate with IIQ. 

Is it possible in the Basic checkout to scan a device and then be able to scan a student barcode without having to use the mouse to click the search or the checkout button? Example Current: Scan Asset tag and the system finds the asset then you mouse over to the search bar and then i can scan the student id and the system finds the student then i can hit tab and enter. Hoping to do: Scan Asset tag and the system finds the asset hit tab or put a tab in the barcode which opens the search for the owner to assign bar and then i can scan the student id and the system finds the student then i can hit tab and enter.

How do I create a subcategory of “not Assigned” so I can double check the accuracy of our inventory at the school level. 

Our district is moving from a cart-based model to a true 1:1 model for elementary students, and we’re working through the logistics of this transition.Right now, our plan is for students to pick up their devices from a homeroom cart each morning and return them at the end of the day. Since we don’t have campus techs, only district techs, we’re considering the best way to manage this process efficiently. How do we quickly and effectiviely check out the devices? For those of you in districts that have already implemented a 1:1 model at the elementary level: Do you check out devices individually to students? When/how are they checked out? Do you check out the devices to the cart and allow the teacher to assign them?  We’d love to hear your experiences and insights!

I am trying to set rules up for Intune devices as we are having issues with location mapping. Our devices are not in any groups which causes Incident IQ to set the default location as unassigned. Even if we go through and manually change the locations, the sync will kick it back to unassigned. Currently I am trying to test a rule where if a device’s location is updated, then the rule will assign the correct location. So I manually updated a device’s location and sure enough the rule worked. However, after a sync, Microsoft Intune “updates” the asset and the rule doesn’t work. I figured that since the location field is being “updated” the rule should work. I even changed the rule to work when the location equals unassigned and still doesn’t work.  Am I missing something here? I appreciate any ideas! 

I have a csv file of Backup UPS devices in my district.  I want to import these devices as assets in Incident IQ, but none of these devices have Asset Tags, so if I import them, the Asset Tag field will be empty.  Can I still import this file and not get any errors?

Our Sync with google shows the Asset Tag as the name of the student, how do we bulk update the owner to equal the assets tag we have over 1,000 devices

I entered about 15 devices in a spare pool. The spare pool tab says I have 2 devices and when i click the tab it shows 15 devices. Any suggestions how to correct this issue with the spare pool?
