According to the guide, we should see two options:Activate API Service Activate Local ServiceI don’t see either one after installing the application. I’ve tried different combinations of the two upper checkboxes to try getting it to show up (though, neither should matter). Am I just insane or is there a legitimate problem here?(I already know I’m insane, don’t answer that) 🤣

We need guidance on how to utilize more than one SCCM/MECM server source. We have two domains in our environment as Staff/Student are split. Each have their own servers/configuration but the prefix for all workstations match location. With the SCCM integration tool, I only see the option to have 1 exe/data source. We need to have multiple data sources.  I am looking for guidance to get this going, Azure/Entra/Intune as a single tenant for both domains are not an option, we need this to work in the existing configuration. 

Is this application capable of connecting to a OneRoster API? 

Is there a way to import the assets from mosyle if there is no asset tag? We just got this pop-up and then it disappeared. Tried looking for the instruction on the JWT token but only found this: Has anyone been able to acquire a JWT token in Mosyle? 

I’m wondering if anyone actually has Mosyle integration working. We tried to set it up and get an unauthorized user error. Our ticket with IIQ has been ignored for 2 weeks. I’m wondering if this is a systemic issue and we should just give up or if there is hope that it gets fixed… There are not many settings to change, but if you have any ideas to try (the u/p and key have been reset and re copy/pasted 3 times) we’d love to hear about them.

Hello,  We’re looking at streamlining our user account creation process as much as possible. We don’t have the HR platform as of yet, but we do have Ticketing.  I was curious if anyone has an Identity and Access Management (IAM) product that they use in order to make this process work in any kind of automatic hook to incident IQ.   Just looking for solutions or ideas as we look to get a new IAM product. Thanks for your help!

I have an open ticket, but the response time is slow, so I am reaching out here as well to see if anyone else has seen this. Within the Google Devices app, I cannot save any changes to the General sync options. I have tried in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Nothing saves. upon refresh the changes revert back to their previous setting. If I go to the Google SSO app, I was able to save a change fine. then change it back fine. It seems to be an issue with the Google device app. A neighboring district said they can change settings within the Devices app without issue. I have also re-authorized the account being used and even tried a different account with permissions in the Admin console to no avail. Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?

When disabling devices in google admin through IncidentIQ, is there a way to see who disabled the device?

I have read this article on upgrading from the PS plugin v1 to v2 but it is pretty vague and uses quite a few non-definite pronouns.  Whatever, it happens. Is there better documentation on this process anywhere?

In PowerSchool a user can be associated with multiple buildings as a teacher or as a staff member. We’re trying to figure out how a single location value is selected and sent to IIQ for a given user, particularly a user may be assigned to multiple buildings. What table(s) and field(s) from PowerSchool are used to set the location? Is it possible to select a different table/field or have different options for a staff user than a teacher user?We have received feedback from users that the building they are under in IIQ is outdated or incorrect. We would like to understand how the incorrect info is getting transferred as opposed to setting corrective overrides.Just this week I noticed that my own account switched buildings and I have no idea why. Looking for a good work flow that would help us sync our current Calendar in IIQ to a new Blank Google Calendar. Currently we seem to be hung up because we can’t map Locations to our Google Calendar because there are no existing Events or locations to map to. Is there an easy way to sort of populate our entire IIQ Calendar to a new Blank Google Calendar and then continue to sync from there?

I’m trying to use the “New Device” workflow but when I manually open up a bay using my admin credentials, IQ thinks the device was already picked up.  Is this normal?  My process is after i create a ticket and assign a bay for a new student, I go to the bay and put in the charger.  Should I just do that before I assign them a bay?

I have been using Incidient IQ now for a little over a year on a PC, now I have been given an iPhone 13 to use and was told that I can send pictures from the iPhone into a ticket to document device damage.  Is there any documentation that shows how to do this, or hopefully a user guide that describes all functions of the Mobile App?

As the ability to import parents/guardians from SIS and create accounts from those records, we were wondering what the potential benefits and ramifications are if we were to turn this option on.

I sync devices into IIQ with the Google Devices app. I have devices in the root OU in Google. The root OU is sometimes referenced by a “/” and sometimes by the domain name (rfschools.com, in my case).Location Mapping:If I wanted to map an IIQ Location to the root OU, how would I write that? / or domain? If I map to the root OU and I have devices not otherwise named in an existing location mapping, do they get inherited by the root OU mapping or would they get the Default Location setting?I’d test this buy I’d need to run full syncs and can only run 2 a day (it throws errors I assume are for too many API calls. I’m not sure).As far as filtering, the root OU is referenced as a “/” and it inherits everything. If I use it in a filter against assets, it does nothing (all assets are shown with/without it). That means nothing for location mapping, but I just wanted to call out the behavior, as I could at least test it.

The sync runs at 9 something in the mornings. How do I change it to run during the night?

has anyone though about using the API to develop a Stream Deck plugin for a “ticket ticker” of sorts? I’ve got a StreamDeck-XL that i use for tons of things at home and i just recently bought the smaller one for my PC at the office and had a hairbrained idea of having a ticket dashboard profile that would show the number of tickets for each of our locations on the various buttons. i’m curious to see if anyone else has a similar idea

Is there any easier way to add item types to fee tracker. Can we get an importer please, or is there api access to add fees

Hello, There is reference made to the Location Details being configurable.But, we see no method to be able to add any more information.We have a Location that has several areas.  How should we provide that information to Parents to be able to find the LocknCharge?  The email doesn’t provide any details.  

Is there currently an option to have SCCM devices recently used linked to a users profile

I use Powershell for updating device locations, rooms, etc. However, when I try to update the quantity on hand of a part, it does not reflect the changes on the site. If I do a Get to pull information on a part, the quantity on hand is updated, though. So I know the changes are occurring successfully. I’ve tried updating the modified date too but it doesn’t fix the problem.  Does the API doc need updated for this to work?

We’re attempting to automate the location settings for an asset based of the assigned user in Mosyle.  The sync works as expected for the user.  If you assign an asset to a user in Mosyle the changes are reflected in iiQ but the location doesn’t change.  I thought it would be under custom mapping and set that up (see the picture) but that doesn’t seem to change anything at all.  Has anyone else accomplished this? p.s. Bonus points if the location is cleared in iiQ when the asset is unassigned from a user in Mosyle!  

I say possible because maybe this is working as intended. I was doing some experimenting with updating a custom field via the API with the /assets/{AssetId} endpoint. Initially when running it I got this message back:  "Errors": [ { "Message": "Asset tag is required" }, { "Message": "Model is required" } ] Adding the Asset Tag and Model ID seemed to resolve both issues. I was also able to update both Notes and a Custom Field (experimenting with how I want to store a bit of info). However, I did NOT expect it to remove the Owner, location, or serial number from the asset. In the grand scheme of things I'll already have that information from earlier in my script I'm working on, so not a huge deal. But it's certainly not what I thought would happen. I would have anticipated only the fields I was referencing to be updated.

Hello! We are currently creating audit policies using Google data for automatic verification in our Chromebooks. However, we would like to expand this to include our other devices, such as Windows and Mac. Specifically, we want to know how to use Filewave data for auto verifications.Currently, we only see the option to use Google Devices. Is there a setting that needs to be turned on in order to see the option for Filewave? Thank you.
