Users

Depending on a Staff Members Title they are qualified for different devices. We capture this in Powerschool but I don’t see how to include this field to map to Users. If I go into Apps\Manage choose Powerschool and select Manage I can see available data mappings, but not a way to add one that’s not there.  Ideally I want to map a users Title in Powerschool so that it shows as a custom field in IIQ Example: I click on a user and I can see thier title is Art Teacher meaning they qualify for a Macbook instead of a Chromebook. I have created a custom field, but still don’t see it in IIQ

Is there a way to filter by user permissions?  We are a large county with 90+ sites and I need to see who has “CUSTOM” permissions that we’ve created for different user groups throughout the county.  I can’t find a way to do this.  Thanks.

We have several new staff members districtwide who can’t see class schedules and rosters through iiQ. We use Ascender SIS, and they’re marked “Active” in the gradebook and employee portal, but are still showing inactive in the sync to Incident IQ. The only reason we can think it would do this is because they haven’t received a paycheck from our district yet, but it’s really inconvenient to wait until September 15 to see if that works. Is there any way to change where Incident IQ pulls employee status in the Ascender Sync so we can link schedules and rosters?

How can I get employee ID to map to school id number. I did the data mapping tool school ID use preferred app ADFS. 

Good Day All, Has there been a recent update that has changed the way scanning a user name into the checked out to box behaves? In our district we have agreement forms and I have made it where the agreement form has a barcode for the device and a barcode for the user name. Recently I noticed that when you scan the username into the checked out to area it no longer works as it use to.  When you look in settings you see an option for barcode scanning behavior for assets but not for users.  Has anyone else been scanning usernames and is now seening this issue too? Using Chrome Browser Version 115.0.5790.111 

I’ve added a custom user field and set it for the student role. I would now like to map that field to data from our SIS data sync. Is this possible?I see my new custom field in User > Edit User. However, I do not see it show up under the mappings in my SIS app.Thanks.

Is there a way to delete the school Id from each users, or simply disable it. My district is trying to transfer over to the email address to identify students and staff

Our students check in devices at the end of each year.  If I want them to have the same device next year, how do I do search by user for this information?

I have a staff member that I am needing to delete out of our iiQ system. How do I go about that?

I am making my deposit and I don’t have a report from IIQ to show how much money I’ve collected this semester (January to June) so I can balance my books for accountability. How can I create a custom date report to show this information? What if I am missing a receipt from a paid charge and I don’t know it? HELP!

I think I know the answer to this based on what I read and the planned changes, but I want to confirm my suspicions.I want to give a site supervisor the ability to see all of the assets at a location. I tried giving them a new role with Permission to view assets at that location, but they could only see there own assets.Is the only way to give them this view right now to give them the agent role?(I even tried duplicating the permissions from there, but did not get the results I wanted.)Thank you.

Is there a way to change the default permission policy for a set of agents? We would like to change the default from the default agent permission to a custom set for our principals to view only, but the only way I see to change that is to go to each individual user.Thanks!

Is thee a way that we can set up an alert for a user? What we want to accomplish during our summer check in is to be alerted to a user that is checking in a device that is on our senior debt list? Any ideas?

Every spring, many of our campuses provide faculty/staff with a list of items checked out to complete an inventory. When creating a view to generate a statement to print to individually hand out, it says it is not able because there is no cost or fee. When I try to export into an excel sheet it only pulls certain data and does not allow to add asset as a field. Is anyone else having this issue?Any help is greatly appreciated.

It’s it possible to filter a user view by Locked users?

This should be a simple process, but at moment it is not. At our school, if a device is assessed a fee, it is assigned to the device and connected to the student that had the device. If that device is fixed and reissued to another person, there is not an easy way to pull the fee history in a CSV file as we need to send out fee emails to parents. So, for example… Device 123 was used by Johnny. Johnny broke the screen and was assessed $50 for the damage. Device 123 was fixed and reissued to Bob. When I look at the snapshot, I see that Bob has the device and does not have a fee. I need to pull up a bulk CSV that will show Johnny, his fee, the asset tag, model description, etc… that has the $50 fee. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

Our staff can view assets assigned to them in their My Assets page. When they click on one of the assets, they can see purchase info such as price, funding source, purchase date, PO number, etc.Is it possible to hide that data?

We recently distributed new devices to students and I want to create a report the details who has not received one yet. My work around is a user view-asset view combo, but it would be much more efficient to have the model filter added to user view!

Is there a way to run a daily report of new users added to IQ?  I’d like to be able to see when an account is added so that I can create a deployment ticket to get devices and equipment quickly checked out to them.  I’d also like to be able to limit the report to either student or staff as needed.

Is there a way when creating a custom view for multiple devices to select a quantity? Each user is assigned 2 “devices” a laptop and a charger. so when i am using multiple delives i see all my users. i want to see who has 3 or more devices assigned to them. Thoughts?

Where are the instructions on changing a person from staff to agent.

Is there a way to perform this action in bulk, on a list of users? I know I can unassign a permission policy from a list of users, but I want to clear the user specific permissions. Really hoping there’s a good way, because we need to do this to over 300 people, so one at a time is not ideal. I don’t see an option for it in the API documentation either.

I’ve created a user view that will tell me what students have multiple devices checked out to them. When I click export I have to essentially setup my view all over again. But this time I am unable to select assets from the +Column dropdown. Is there something I’m overlooking here? Why do I have to specify what I want to export when I’ve already created a view. And why can’t I access assets anymore in the export window?

Is there a way to append data when uploaded user information from CSV? We created a notes / comments, similar to the internal notes section in a user profile. I will be doing a mass upload near the end of school as we leave our old asset management system and fully cutover to IIQ. Some agents/librarians have already started using the notes section. When I upload all the old notes from the previous system, I believe it will just wipe out what would have already been written in that section, so I ask is there a way to keep what’s already in said spot without having to target what account has something there and export/combine it before the upload?

I have a student with a profile in IQ, but it will not find the profile in quick search. If I do a specific search with the user name in the New view window, I find the profile but when I click on it nothing pops up. It looks like the profile i writing from our integration software, but I am unable to pull up the user profile in IQ. Any suggestions?
