I saw the webinar that mentioned 2D Asset Mapping, I’ve looked into it because it would be amazing for asset tracking, however it says it’s only available for facilities, I  need 2D Asset Mapping for our technology assets, how/when can we get this

In Google Console, I have Location set to School and Room number.  When the sync runs with IncidentIQ, it does not always put a Location in Incident IQ.  The reason is because some of the locations in Google console are not mapped in IncidentIQ.  When I go to map the location (under Google Devices/Location Mappings/Custom Mapping) - the location name from Google console does not appear in the Dropdown list.  How do I add it?

Hello, we are able to integrate Intune and the Google suite into IQ. When creating a new asset rule, I don’t see a way to create where after a device is checked in due to damage that it also device wipe via Google or Intune.

We are finding that occasionally models get created and assets for that model added. But the models are not assigned to a model category such that they have issues assigned to them. This means when someone starts with that asset and creates a ticket they end up at a dead end because there is no issue in order to move the ticket forward.I suppose this could be solved by not allowing moving forward without assigning issues. Or if there was a way to get to a view that showed models without issues, we could police it ourselves. Or there is something else obvious we are missing.I agree people should not create this situation to begin with, but when someone forgets it won’t resurface until someone attempts to submit a ticket and notifies the IT Department. Open to advice or suggestions.

This is our first summer rolling out ZTE (zero-touch enrollment) devices, which have significantly shortened the amount of time we spend on deploying the devices.When we receive the shipment, they are already listed in our Admin Console with a “pre-provisioned” status. I just noticed that this status is not an option to sync over under the General Settings of the Google Devices Sync.I'm assuming that if we sync over all deprovisioned devices, they will come over, but that may also bring over unwanted retired devices from our past. (This has not been tested)I believe that the pre-provisioned status should fall under the “Active” state in IIQ. I can see the potential for us to assign and physically hand over a device to a student in a pre-provisioned state because all they really need to do is connect it to the WIFI, and it will automatically enroll within seconds. Thoughts? 

Is there a way to set up something when an asset is changed to a specific status the user assigned will get an automated fee/fine? In example if a student reported a device missing and we change the status to “stolen” it would give the student profile a fee on their profile for the device automatically.

Why does my Audit Verification Status show "Not Currently Covered by an Asset audit policy”  I just imported projectors and they show on the audit sheet. The other devices show “Pending Not Yet Verified”

I have a bulk amount of assets that have had the IIQ status changed to disabled but it has not disabled them in google admin to disable them in admin I am having to go to each asset and press disable under the Google Device Data Device Actions is there a way to push this data to google admin in a bulk order changing the satus to disable in IIQ did not disable them in Google admin. 

Is there a way to create a report where I enter 150 asset tags and it will print the serial numbers for these asset tags in a spreadsheet?  

Hello Everyone, I hope you are doing well.  I am working on cleaning up my database and am trying to wrap my head around the retirement/deletion process within Incident.  I wanted to see if I would lose data from my history if I deleted an item, so I set it to retired and then deleted it about 2 weeks ago.  Now, if I go into the item it gives me a banner that says it was deleted, but it will not show up under deleted items.  Is this the way it is supposed to work? I was hoping it would disappear from within the primary database, and only be visible within the deleted items area, while maintaining the history within my user’s timeline.   If I could get some advice on how this is supposed to work I would greatly appreciate it.  

We would like to run a report on students showing how many devices each student has been assigned throughout the year. I know that while looking at a user profile we can see device history but its such a pain to go through every student you suspect as having been through too many devices. When assigning new devices and replacement devices we should be checking, but it often gets missed by library staff and new hires.Is there a way to run a report that will generate this information for us? Bonus points if we can also see how many devices we assigned as just replacements. (Excluding first assigned device).

I am trying to put my schools furniture into incident IQ and having trouble when it comes to things we have a bunch of that don’t have or need a unique identifier. For example we have 50 teacher workstations, 700 chairs, 150 tables, etc, etc.. Under assets I would like to put the 50 workstations without having to create one and clone is 49 times, but I am not seeing any way to do this. I can add the workstation, but there is no way to simply adjust the quantity. I hope I’m just being my slow self and missing where this is, but it seems like there is no simple way to adjust it kind of like how adjusting parts inventory works. I hope this is also something obvious I am missing as I don’t understand why we wouldn’t have the ability to simply make it optional.I am thinking of a workaround by importing a spreadsheet since I could just copy and paste to quickly get the quantity that I need. I was also considering putting them in as parts which could work ok. 

Is there a way to assign multiple assets to one person within the same step? Could their be an option of “multiple assests”? I am finding that I am havnig to restart the process over for each assest that I am assigning a kid. I would like to be able to bring up this screen and scan all items to add.  

looking for steps on bulk deprovisioning of chromebooks

I need an easy way for our CTAE Teachers to inventory their items. They are switching from Destiny to IIQ, and I need the process to be similar. In Destiny, the items are checked out to a room, not a person. I want to do a batch check-in, but I must assign hundreds of assets to the teacher first and If that teachers leaves now I have to reassign all of these items. Keep in mind that the Inventoried items are things like Hammers, Welding Gloves, Ovens, Clothing, Airplanes, Socket sets, Toilets, you name it. I would like to assign the items to the room but Im not sure if thats possible. What's the best way to approach setting this up?

So I have a ticket requesting two assets which are laptops. The problem is that I don’t see a way to add more than 1 asset. Once I assign one laptop it does not allow me a way to simply add another one. I hope this something simple I am missing because it’s hard to understand why we can only assign a single item when it seems simple enough to just let us repeat the process. I can go to the user and manually assign multiple assets, but it’s not efficient. 

I would love to use the storage feature for the large inventory of devices we have in our warehouse.  My question is on removing them from storage whether it be 1 device or the whole box we will give them to the sites to issue to the students.  Therefore I need to remove them from Technology storage to another site but will not have an ID yet to assign them to.I also found that if you assign 1 device without going through Batch Out, it does not remove the item from storage.  Can this not be done on the asset itself?

     Hey! Whenever a student damages a Chromebook, one our techs will record this damage in iiQ by adding a fine for the student and asset in the Fee Tracker app. We then want a way to look at that physical device and know it’s one that still needs to be repaired.     For years, we will write “Replace Keyboard” or something short on a sticky note taped to the device so we can keep these laptops organized and separate. What’s a better way for us to do this? I know previous systems I’ve used have had the ability to print out a small label with a description of the ticket/repair that needs to be completed. Is there any way for us to do this? If not inside of IncidentIQ/Fee Tracker, then I’d be curious to open this up for discussion on how other districts are doing this.

Is there a way to edit the Asset Model in a record? Right now that field is blocked from changing.

I might be missing something, but can I upload a sheet of assets that I want to delete?   I can import a list with location change and status change to “retired” but I want to also delete the assets.   All I can see is an option to do that, then bulk select them from the Asset Explorer and choose Other > Delete.  If I do that, I have over 1K Chromebooks as Status Retired, but I want them to move to Deleted Assets.  Is there another way? 

We are in process of getting started using incident IQ. I am having a heck of a time getting the label printing process together. I have a Dymo 450Turbo and I cannot find a nice, durable label to use. Does Incident IQ have a durable laminated label they sell? Thank youKathy 

I need to select all chromebooks that start we a certain serial number. When I try and filter by serial number it want’s me to actually pick a device instead of the just being a filtering condition and showing me results on the main page. This wouldnt be bad if it didn’t cap you at 100 results when I need much more. Any ideas?

We would like to be able to see which agent/role made edits to an asset.  Trying to find way to create view or report that shows us which devices were edited by a user by date frame. 

what fields is needed to sync google Chromebook users to IQ asset owners so IQ displays the owner that is assigned in google and not have to update IQ manually? Or can we map it to have IQ update google with the assigned owner?
