Integrations

This is a general question in regards to changes being made on PowerSchool’s end regarding 3rd party plugins that access via the API.Recently PowerSchool users received an email from the CEO regarding non-partner plugins. The short of it is, if PowerSchool doesn’t view how data is being handled from a 3rd party as secure they may block that access. There is a lot of ambiguity here. IncidentIQ is not a partner vendor, or at least not listed as one. So for IncidenIQ staff, are you aware of this? If so, what are your thoughts and suggestions?For PowerSchool users who have upgraded to 24.10, have you noticed any issues with the IncidentIQ plugin?We have not upgraded yet as we want to ensure there are no issues with our integrations.

We have an SIS Integration (Rediker Admin Plus) using One Roster. I’m trying to cleanup our users and  I’m finding there are many that have a status of “tobedeleted”. See the image below. The issue is nothing happens with these users (parents and students) and I cannot find a way to delete them. The “Delete User” option is not available in the “Actions” menu. Does anyone have any insight on this?

I just went to push a Jamf sync and noticed last night’s sync did not run.The error iiQ is reporting is:  [ GET ** instance name** -- (79.0145 ms) ] {"error":{"code":401,"message":"Version not supported","extra_message":"Illegal version (0)"}}I read through the knowledge base article for setup, and everything looks correct. I copied/pasted the API key just in case one of us had edited that, but no change.

We changed a name in our Active Directory users list to reflect a name change and see the changes on the Local AD/Cloud AD Azure/Intune but the username in IIQ is the original name before the change. We would prefer not to have to delete the user and remake to keep the ticket history.  Tested sync in the IIQ apps and things appear to be working on that side.  This issue is preventing the user from logging in using the Azure SSO link. 

Hello All:I work for a charter school using the homeschooling model.  In short there are no brick & mortar schools.  So we ship LOTS of laptops to kids, Chromebooks, Windows and Macbook Airs.  Often, a family may get 2 or more of the same device for siblings.  What inevitably happens is that wrong sibling logs into the wrong laptop.  Do ya see where I am going with this?  I would like to use Automated Verification to send an email to our team for the following condition:Within a timeframe, say 2 weeks, the wrong kid logs into the device and the right never does.  If w/in that timeframe, the proper kid logs in, no notification.If w/in that timeframe no one at all logs in, no notification.  Is this doable?  Is this doable for apple devices (Macbook Airs and iPads)?  We use Jamf School and Jamf Pro as our apple MDM.  Intune for Windows devices.  And, of course, G-Admin for Chromebooks.Thanks very much for taking the tim

I'm attempting to retrieve ticket statuses through the API endpoint "/api/v1.0/tickets/statuses", but it appears to be non-functional.I’m following the documentation reference: Retrieve list of ticket status | Incident IQ API v1.0 (stoplight.io) 

I'm encountering issues with retrieving the categories list from the API. The default pagination is set to 200, but attempts to increase or decrease this limit to, for example, 1000 using the URL = “/api/v1.0/categories?$s=1000” or 100 URL = “/api/v1.0/categories?$s=100”  are unsuccessful.

Realtime has informed us that we are not able to add parent/guardian information to our export to IIQ.  Has anyone who uses Realtime found a work around for this? Thanks!

I’m in the process of sorting all of my school’s chromebooks into their respective rooms. These room names are the exact same as the Google Admin OUs that they should belong to. However, moving them in IIQ pretty much does nothing because every night it resets. Is there an easy way to create a lot of OrgUnitPath Translation Maps if the room name is exactly the same as the OU path that Google Admin can use? Example: A Chromebook is in Room 307 at the high school. The IIQ location name is “/HS Chromebooks/3rd Deck/HS ROOM 307”. The google OU is /HS Chromebooks/3rd Deck/HS ROOM 307.

I have looked in the app integrations on my instance and there is no rschooltoday app to setup for integration. Is rschooltoday no longer supported?

I didn’t see it but is there a way to create a rule so a fine/fee is automatically added to the ticket when it’s created?  If not I think this would be a good idea

Has anyone set up an integration with Veracross SIS? In Veracross it looks like there is an API integration but the Veracross app in IncidentIQ makes it sound like its a CSV upload. Does anyone have any clarity on this?

I added a custom field for assets that has the MAC address. Is there no way to access this value when creating a rule that involves a webhook?

We're looking at integrating our Blackbaud SIS data to IIQ using the CSV One Roster sync for the first time, primarily for linking students to parents for damage notifications/billing, etc.One big concern is the visibility of class data (teacher/section assignments) for parents and students. Over the summer, we hide that information from parents/students in our SIS. If we sync with IIQ, will that information be visible to parents/students? Both parents and students currently have logins and can submit tickets in IIQ.Is there a way to ensure rosters/teacher assignments are hidden from parents/students during the summer? Or, is there a way through the One Roster sync interface to ONLY sync parents/student user information during the summer? Could I just delete the class files from the ZIP, or would that generate an error?Thanks for any advice!

Our Apple devices are managed in Mosyle and the assigned user name was being fed to the Owner field in Incident IQ until just recently. I notice that on June 10, 282 devices were updated which I believe was the removal of the assigned owner in the owner field. Any updates or suggestions on how to fix or address this? At this point in iiQ I can’t tell who is using which device. I have a help desk ticket submitted but have not heard anything since I submitted it yesterday. Thank you for any input, 

I've just created our first form, and Im having issues getting the data to post on the correct spot on the form (imported PDF) and  I would like to have the form sent straight to the principal for approval (made a form step 2 for this) and then on to the facilities Manager for final approval (form step 3).  Has anyone already  done this? if so could you share your rules or how you made it work for you?  

What is the delimiter for “OU fragment(s) to filter:”. I want to exclude a number of  OU from the initial sync.

We have created a new acceptable use policy with the Policy Manager extension. We are having trouble getting the banner to appear on faculty and staff’s IIQ dashboards. The banner is only appearing in the IIQ Admin dashboards. There are no dates listed in the Active period. There were at first, but then I removed the dates and it does not seem to have made a difference. Under Alert Methods I have Dashboard Widget and Popup Message at login selected. The location where the users are in should be listed correctly. I even added Faculty and Staff under the Roles section. Under Policy Permissions I have Faculty and Staff selected under the Can Approve on Behalf of Self tick boxes. Not sure what else to check.

I need to place my one-roster files on the Incident IQ SFTP server.  My SIS, eSchool, needs the the following SFTP credentials in order to post the data: Host (URL)PortUser NamePassword 

I saw that @austin.thomsen had a recent ticket on this similar thing but yet ours is a bit different.  I have had a ticket in since January 10th on our sync with IIQ and Mosyle.  It has not been working since January 5th.  I have gotten little to no response other than it is being looked into by the dev team so I was just wondering if any others are having the same issue or not?  We have had it setup and syncing for other a year and did not make any changes. Thanks  

We are looking to move to “Square” to accept payments for technology fees. For those that have. Did you get school board approval before creating the account? Did you create a generic payment account login on Square?  What was your process for getting started?

I am working on migrating iPads from Jamf to Intune. Not what most would recommend but this will do the job and save us some $$$. I have device sync working fine and IIQ is pulling all the owner/user fields just fine. The issue is that this is not updating the IIQ Owner field despite having selected “Automatically update owner in iiQ based on Registered Owner's Email Address in Microsoft Intune” and ensuring this data is pulled and the email is the same as my IIQ email.Can anyone please provide some insight on what seems like should be a simple task?
