Hello IIQ Community!  First time poster here.  One of school librarian’s asked if there’s a report that they can run that will give them the device check-in log, so that they can see the devices that were checked in and checked out each day.  Is that possible? I know we can create a view and report of users with multiple devices, which is helpful, except every student here has a laptop and charger assigned. Therefore every student shows up in this out of the box report.Can we apply a filter to say show me users with multiple assigned devices of Category “Laptop”?Or can we say show me users with multiple device when the count is greater than 2?this would then give us an accurate report of how many students (or staff) have multiple laptops signed out.

I am trying to bulk print asset labels, but I am having some difficulty. I have a Dymo Labelwriter 550 Turbo, loaded with Dymo LW 30336 1”x2 1/8” labels. When trying to bulk print them, the formatting is off, and I cannot find any way to align the fields correctly. Am I missing something? Playing with the margins gets me nowhere. Increasing or decreasing the scale doesn’t help either. For some reason, the content is high and to the right and there doesn’t seem to be any way to fix.  

I would like to be able to mark assets as “Approved for Purchase”, or something similar and then build a purchasing ticket where only approved devices are available for purchase request. Is anything like that possible?

I’ve got several audits set up in Incident IQ all pulling out of a sync that is run daily from Intune. Everything has been working fine for about a month now and then all of a sudden I’ve got 2 of the 4 of them showing all devices with a “Pending” status. I’ve tried re-running my audit and re-syncing the data from Intune, but so far nothing I have done is making any difference. Is there something I am missing here from a troubleshooting standpoint or is this just part of some ongoing issues? 

were do i give permissions  to allow access to change an asset?  

in incident iq what permissions do i have to set for a staff member to change an asset location or assign a student to a chromebook ?

I am trying to get a list of all my assets by Asset Tag, but I can’t seem to build the proper URL to get a list of my assets, trying the documentation here.I CAN get data from other endpoints like  /services/assets/stats/locations and /services/assets/types, so I think my SiteID and Auth Token values are fine, but I can’t seem to list assets. Specifically, what value do I need to put after the “/of/” in the url? 

I’ve only ever used Incident IQ’s manual verification process on a very small scale before, but I am now looking to verify an entire storage room at once. What happens when you “Fail” an asset during a verification? Is any information in the record changed automatically, or do you have the option to change it to remove it from the inventory of that room and indicate a “Lost” status? Are there any feature differences between manually verifying using a laptop and a barcode scanner versus manually verifying using a mobile device? I know generally speaking mobile apps tend to have less functionality, but don’t know if that applies here. Thanks for your help!

Is there anyway to pull fields from the attached asset into a comment/Shortcut. For example I want to put a comment that auto populates the info like this Name: <Requestor_Name>Asset: <Asset_Tag>Serial Number: <Serial_Number>Mac Address: <Mac_Address>  This would be a huge help if it is. 

Hello, I’m curious to know what others are doing with their “retired” devices within IIQ. Do you just change the status to retired and are done with it?I know that there are a few posts asking IIQ to offer multiple databases so that retired devices can me moved out and into another db; and I know that you can’t simply delete the asset because while it lives on in the deleted asset area, it will no longer be searchable.So… what’s your best practice for keeping retired/sold/etc devices within IIQ.Thanks in advance.

When a device is retired does it show up in the Deleted Assets queue under Assets?

Curious if this is possible. We Automatic asset assignment in iiQ based on last device user in google.We have a test account that we log into the Chromebooks with. Is it possible to setup a rule that says if Device owner is TestAccount unassign from device?  Thank youRon 

Is there a way to turn off Inactive models in the drop down when creating an asset? For example, when I type “ipad” I don’t want to see everything inactive that has the word ipad in it, rather only the models that are active. 

I’d like to know if there is a way in IIQ to create a view that I assume would be a user view. We need to know which students do not have a Chromebook assigned. This is crucial for us because we need to be able to assign Chromebooks to these students. Having a custom user or asset view setup that dynamically changes as new students with no assigned Chromebooks would greatly help us. I mention Chromebooks because we do have some students who do have Macs or PCs assigned to them, but we are trying to make sure that all of our incoming and current students have Chromebooks going forward. We are actually not a classroom-based school, so students do not report to a campus. This means that we need to know who needs a device sent out.

I need an inventory report for the DOE, CTAE and Title 1 that includes the info below. When I try using the filters I get zero results. What am I doiing wrong? We issue MiFis out to student upon request from our buildings.  In old system we would assign all students in a family to the device for visibility.In iiQ only able to assign on user to one device, correct?Any creative ideas to maintain this family deployment concept?

I know that IIQ officially recommends the Dymo LabelWriter 450 printer with the 1” x 3.5” labels. We have one and it works great. However, we are now looking to add 2 more label printers in our environment and the LabelWriter 450 model is now discontinued.Is there a recommended replacement for the LabelWriter 450 model? I believe the LabelWriter 550 would be the “new” model, but the reviews are pretty terrible across the board, mostly due to Dymo forcing the use of official Dymo labels, which have apparently dramatically increased in price.

Hi Everyone,We are trying to see if there is a way to search for multiple devices in a particular location & wondered if anyone had a way to do this. For example we want to see if there is a way to search for all rooms that have both a projector AND a Television. I have been unable to find a way to search for X AND Y and exclude any rooms/locations that do not have both. Does anyone have a way to perform inventory searches to narrow when 2 particular devices are in a single room?Thanks!Chris

Is anyone else having issues with assets not showing on the Users profile pages? Yesterday all the devices listed to a user that was located at the top of the page above the “Select File to attach field” disappeared. When you search the asset and filter by Owner the assets are properly listed but now you can no longer click on the asset on the profile page.  

When unassigning a device on the device details page, the device will show as unassigned but when the page is refreshed it will revert back to the previous owner that it was just unassigned from. This will sometimes happen 5+ times before it will stick. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue. It is causing significant delays or if not noticed it has caused errors in our data.

Hey all,All buildings have rooms crafted/labeled in IIQ. At the elementary level, our CB’s are assigned to a room. Teachers are likewise assigned to room through Skyward. I would like to map CB’s in a room and assign them to a teacher automatically.Then, at the start and end of the year, I can craft “Audit Manager” rules that has teachers verify the CB’s in their classroom as part of our accountability process.I thought IIQ could link assets to owners of a room but I don’t know how that happens. Anyone have an idea? 

Without having Edit rights, our users can not assign devices to a room.  We do not want to give them edit rights because they can change the funding source (ECF, ESSER,etc..).  Pull the room location out of the edit rights and let users “assign” devices to a room location within their school

I am making a custom field for devices called Kiosk Mode. The goal is to affect the OU placement of devices in our Google Device sync based on the value of this field. Since I cannot filter by “field not set” the options on the select box are: - None - Kiosk Mode This allows me to edit our Google Device general settings so that if it is set to None they sync to the regular OUs and if it is set to Kiosk Mode the device will move to the Kiosk OUs (by school).But, I need to ensure devices being created have a default value of “None”. Apparently an Asset on Create rule can’t set custom fields.So, without the ability to filter by “not set” and without the ability to automatically set a custom field’s default value (either via a default value feature which doesn’t seem to exist or via a rule which doesn’t seem to exist) I’m dead in the water on this little change.I could set the filter on each OU placement rule to EXCLUDE Kiosk Mode… but if

We just changed up how we are running device handouts in our district for 5-12 graders, they will be getting their devices checked out to them for 4 years with no check-ins during that time, we are relying on audits to keep them in line. What we need to know is if there is a way for the device to follow the student based on the students location data? We have kids that transfer schools mid-year or the usual route of going from middle school to high school and we need these devices to automatically change their location when the students location changes. I’ve looked through several articles but I was unable to find any specific documentation or process on this.
