With our assets we have:Asset Type Asset Status Model Location Room Specific Location Asset Tag Serial Number and more…I am wanting to export most of those above but for some reason when I go to export, there is no column for Specific Location. Why is that?And looking at most of the Assets, they have the Field.How can I export that column?

Is there a variable data point that tracks the date an asset was checked out? I want to send a reminder email through the Rules Engine to users who haven't returned their loaner device after a specific number of days, including the date it was originally checked out to them.

Has Incident IQ came up with a Mandatory Serial number field yet?  This field would be a blessing if it’s possible.  

I have a bunch of desktops I want to track; I am looking for a way to setup an automatic ticket on a desktop that hasn’t been used in 30 days. I am almost certain it can be done I just think of the process or where to start. I was thinking ticket templates but then thought maybe rules. So, any guidance on this would be great or perhaps a different process all together.Thanks,Jeffrey

Chromebooks are showing way more information in Asset Explorer than Windows devices?  Why is that?  Does something need to be enabled?

We have a user that has repeatedly broken our rules and is at this point no longer allowed to have a device.  Is there a way to make it so that no one can assign a device to his account?  Can I disable his account but still keep the history in the event that we decide that he can have a device again?

I need to provide a report to our wonder government on the complete history of multiple devices. i.e. Chromebooks and iPads.  My problem is that when a device is returned and reissued, the date the device was assigned to the new owner is overwritten from the past owner.  The tracking information is only available in the “Timeline” of that particular device.  So far I have not found a way to download the “Timeline”.  Please help… :)  I really appreciate any help you can provide.

When working with Linked Assets my district mainly tries to use this feature with Chromebooks linked to the Chromecart they exist in out in the field. On the Chromecart side of the Linked Assets you can look in the timeline to see devices that have been linked and unlinked but on the Chromebook side of the Linked Assets you do not get entries into the device timeline for when it was linked and unlinked. Is it possible to make a Chromebooks timeline show when it was linked and unlinked from assets?

Is there a way in Asset Explorer to search for discrepencies between two different fields that should match in our inventory? For example we are wanting to locate a list of all our Chromebooks in inventory that do not have a matching value for Serial number and Asset tag? Is there a way to design a Custom Field in Admin for that purpose, etc? Thanks - ACSD1 Technology

I’m trying to apply the Asset Recent User Mismatch filter to an Asset View of Chromebooks that I’ve created and the results returned are far greater than I was anticipating. Does that filter pull only the most recent user to login on the device or does it pull all users that have logged in at some point?

How do I find the reason something is marked as a duplicate in my import? Can't tell which field is being marked as the duplicate. My settings are match asset tag or serial number but the list of duplicates doesn't check out. Most of the marked duplicates are NOT duplicates - I've gone back through my import file.

Hi everyone! We have a small number of devices that we think have had their asset tag and/or serial number changed in Incident IQ. Is there any way that we can find those devices by the old asset tag or serial number, the same way we can for Previous Owner? If using the API is necessary, I’m happy to do it that way, but I’m not sure I can see a straightforward way even with the API.Thanks for any help!

When I scan an asset, there is no longer a view tickets button.  This was really handy because I am a field tech and I work on chromebooks daily. 

Is there a way to filter for Chrome OS versions that are at a certain level or higher? It looks like I can filter for specific versions but I would like to filter for all Chromebooks that meet or exceed that version.Thanks 

Hello! Quick question for the group - How do you handle things like desktop phones, SMARTboards, and the OP modules that are usually in the back of the SMARTboard.  Do you assign these users or just assign them to the room and flag them as a facility device? We are currently rebuilding our inventory and wondering how others handle these items.

Hi, is it possible to control what groups can see created asset groups? Our region has 9 campuses and we only want agents within their respective schools to see only their created asset groups.  Is this possible?  Thanks 

We have not trained teachers in using the verify assets with My classes, we are just not there yet. Is there a way though without going to each class to print a report that shows the same information so we can simply hand the teacher the paper report they can manually check right now? Yes, I know the other way is easier but we do not have any teacher access yet and we don’t have staff capacity right now to enable that yet. Thank you for any suggestions. Steve

I work for Anoka-Hennepin Schools and am wondering if anyone would be willing to share how your district handles recycling of devices and/or  transferring devices between sites. We have a fairly cumbersome process that we are hoping we can streamline a bit with Incident IQ. We use SCCM, Jamf, Google Admin console and Destiny. We coordinate pickup and transfer of devices as well as movement between OUs/Sites in the management stations. An outline of our process is below.Site TechOpens an iiQ ticket Fills out a Recycle/Transfer spreadsheet (include all devices being recycled or transfered - it includes SN, Destiny barcode, device name, model, type) Links the spreadsheet to ticket Fills out a warehouse transfer form which is attached to the device/s -  This also schedules the warehouse to pick up the devicesDistrict TeamReceives the iiQ ticket Removes or moves the devices in our device management syst

We just started using IIQ and I’ve looked through a decent amount of it thus far, but there’s still plenty to do.One of my quandaries is, what is the difference between a “view” and an asset group? In looking at both of them, they look the same and the only difference is the name. When I open the “view settings” part in both that looks the same as well. What am I missing? Why do both of these exist if they’re the same thing (or so it seems)?

We recently deployed ~800 devices to our staff and are trying to run reports in IIQ to make sure the right device got assigned/signed into. We used FileWave as our MDM and the app sync is working correctly.In IIQ I have created a custom view of the 800 devices we recently deployed. I have the columns selected to show the asset tag number, the owner, and the client device name. The client device name is a app field from the MDM app that gets synced. It is one of the pre-populated app fields when you setup the sync.What happens is that on most of the assets the client device name field shows up correctly in the view. But on a few assets that field is not showing up at all in the view. But if I click on the asset it shows up perfectly fine and says the asset is syncing with the MDM.Curious if there is a trick or something I need to do to get the view to show the updated fields from

I am trying to export detailed room information into a spreadsheet and it will not. I see it on the screen, but when I export it, it only shows the building and not the room.  Attached are what I need and what I get.Any help on how to get the “gondola f” portion of the room information into the spreadsheet would be much much appreciated as I am attempting to look for these assets.

I was looking to see if we had the ability to have a device placed on a watch list for actionable tickets. For example. SN# XXX has a history of 5 or more tickets with same type of issue. Place it on a list to be alerted if it returns with the same issue again within say like 30 days.

Is there a way that devices coming into the depot can be tagged as they are scanned so a report can be generated for a daily report?

I may not have a clear understanding of using variables for emails, so if I’ve got this wrong please let me know!I’m exploring the idea of sending an email notification to specific staff members if a user leaves our district & still has a Chromebook assigned to them. I have the notification set to come to me for now.I received my first notification today, and the asset information was not included, just the variable name(s).  I’m wondering if the email can’t reference the asset info since I’m using a user-based trigger? Do I need to switch to an Asset-based trigger?Here’s the structure of my email:As of {{User.ModifiedDate}} {{User.FullName}} is no longer with the school district. Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find any information on what I am trying to accomplish.  We are a one school school district and we have set up locations for the school and additional location for items we have retired and disposed of just to keep things separate.   I wanted to see if we could give a user rights to only check in/out certain equipment within a location.  It seems that the only way I can see to do this is create a separate location.  To me that adds confusion as the devices are not really in a separate location but rather a sub location.   Here is a scenario I am trying to accomplish.Our special services department purchased some devices that they want to check out to their teachers aides when needed.   If I give the department secretary the permissions to check items in and out she can see all items within a location when I only want her to see what items she needs to manage.A similar situation would be in our Art Departmen
