I am trying to import meta information for a bunch of phones all at once. I plan to use an asset import to get all of the phones into IIQ Assets; however, I am looking for a quick way to get each phone’s extension also added to each asset. Thoughts?

Is there a way to bulk update the Specific Location field for assets? When editing an asset’s details, there’s a field called Specific Location under the Room section. I’ve been using this field to record the Chromebook cart number where the device is stored.I know how to bulk update the Room information, but I haven’t been able to find a way to bulk update the Specific Location field.Ideally, I’d like to filter assets by serial number, update their Room, and enter the cart number in Specific Location — all in one batch process. This would save a lot of time compared to updating each asset individually.

We have a number of assets that stay permanently in a certain room where users come to said room to use the equipment.  To assign the asset to room X, we created a “user” Room X and checked the equipment out to this “user”.  Is this the best way to do this?Is there a way to assign equipment to a location without having to check it out to a user?  I’m curious as to how other institutions handle similar situations. Thanks,Marita

Does anyone have a payload to unassign an asset from a user, along with setting the verification date? I’m able to pull information from the API for a device but am having trouble updating fields on said asset.

Is it possible to do a data import of data that shows linked assets in IIQ?  For example, I have devices and carts as objects in IIQ.  I want to do an import of data that will link various devices to the cart that they are stored in.  I don’t know if this is possible when I cannot find any linked asset related fields in any of the screens of the import process.

Created an asset like I usually do, and iiQ froze in the middle of saving. Now when I search for the asset, it says no results.. if I try to recreate the asset, it says the asset # is in use. Is there somewhere else (like a database or management screen) where I can delete that asset # so I can fix this issue? 

If I link Asset A to Asset B, is there a way to have Asset A inherit settings from Asset B?Like location, room number, etc.

I’m reaching out regarding an automation rule we’ve set up in our IIQ instance that sends a notification to users when a device is assigned to them. The rule works as expected when we manually assign a device within IIQ, but it does not trigger when an integration (like Mosyle MDM) updates the asset owner.We’d like to know:    •    Is there a way to ensure that asset ownership changes made via integrations trigger automation rules?    •    If not, is there a recommended workaround that would allow us to notify users when a device is assigned through external systems?We’re trying to maintain consistency and ensure that users are notified regardless of how the assignment happens.Thanks in advance for your support, we really appreciate any guidance you can offer!

Hello all,     Sorry to get back on this but I am still having issues with this.  It seems to have worked before but not working now.   Am I missing something? Looks like the asset I am working with is not triggering an update rule when I modify the Owners role.  I have tried several different assets with no luck.  When I check out the device to a user, the rule is triggered and nothing matches.  It says:  Asset does not match against filters defined for this device.  I checked the device for the correct model category, and it matches the filter.  If I just modify the user's role to “No Access” the rule is not triggered.Thanks for any input.

I’m working on setting up an automated email notification that triggers when a student’s status is changed to “No Access” while they still have an asset checked out. The goal is to notify the site associated with the student and include the asset tag of the checked-out item in the email.I’ve configured a “User Updated” rule to handle this scenario. The rule executes as expected; however, the email content only returns the literal variable name {{Asset.AssetTag}} instead of the actual asset tag assigned to the student.Could you please advise if there’s a way to retrieve and include the asset currently assigned to the student in the email body? Specifically, I’m looking for a method to dynamically populate the asset tag in the notification.  

Is there a way to import a CSV of asset ID’s that we want to print labels for? The labels are great, but the process is very manual when we have hundreds of new assets that need replacement barcode/ID labels. Part of our verification involves scanning into a spreadsheet that we use to move the devices to the appropriate location for the school year. Also trying to figure out where it is pulling the “Location with Room” data from as there doesn’t seem to be anywhere that I can find that data matched within the Rooms under the “Places” tab.

Under Purchase Information, is there an option for leased devices?  These devices will need to be returned to the Vendor in a certain amount of time, so they are not purchased outright but leased. 

Is there a way to check out devices that are already assigned to a student? For example we can't unassign a device when we check them in because our mdm reassigns them overnight and we don't want to turn that off.

I have created a custom field for department and I originally made it as a text field.  After thinking about it I thought that the select option will be better to keep consistency.  However, I do not see a way to edit this parameter.

Can I rollback or undo a Google sync? My devices mapped to a default location, removing them from their assigned room. It seems like me or someone in our team turned on location mapping without realizing exactly what it did.

Hello, Our Chromebook are assigned to a room and linked to a cart that is assigned to teacher. They can see the linked devices on their dashboard under My Assets, but it says they do not have permission to favorite the assets. Is there a rule/ permission that I do have turned on?Thanks,

IIQ community I need your help!!!I created a summer audit so I can verify the classroom devices at my school.  Things like projectors, monitors, etcThis is the schedule I created.  I want to know the best setting for the Assets at Risk timeframe given that I want to do the audit once every year.  I want the verified devices to stay in the verified state so I can make sure I get all of them.  My first setting had it at 3 weeks and devices I know I verified were now showing as pending.  Just need to know what the best setting for At risk should be.  Thank you in advance 

Hello,  I am trying to make tickets for Chromebooks that have physical damage done to them. I DO NOT want to have them to be “Checked In” into our storage. I just need tickets made for each asset. Is there a way to to do this. Thanks for any ideas! 

I updated the asset locations in the High School spare pool group for Long-Term devices. Specifically, I set the Location to: School: High School Room: 268 Specific Location: Cart 1 I made sure to save the updated location details for each asset, and confirmed that the updates were correctly reflected immediately afterward.However, each morning, I notice that the Location field for these assets automatically reverts back to "District" instead of retaining the updated school and room details. This has occurred consistently across multiple assets in the group, as shown in the screenshot attached.Can you please help me understand why these changes are not persisting overnight? Is there an automated process or sync that might be overwriting the values?

Is there a way to send notices to students regarding the specific device that they have lost and need to pay for?  

Looking for some assistance with creating assets with the API. I am hoping to create a workflow with my Jamf Enrollment policy to auto create a computer as it enrolls so I don’t have to wait for the job to run.  Looking through the documentation an asset ID is required to create an asset but if the asset does not exist it wouldn't have an asset id. I must be missing something so any guidance would be appreciated. :) 

The custom fields in my asset views are not loading.  The custom fields are also not showing up in the bulk “Set Info” menus.

I see that there is a pre-polulated dropdown list of fields available from Intune.I’m not sure how I can bring in other common fields in to iiQ.Primarily want to bring in RAM (Total Physical Memory) and BIOS.Does anybody know how to do this?

We have multiple users that have the same permissions, but are seeing different abilities to apply a Custom Field as a Filter.  Notice how Custom and Application are missing from the second screenshot.Anybody else experiencing this?  

What are some ways that you use IIQ to do an EOY inventory?  I have set up policies in Audit Manager to verify student Chromebooks and laptops etc. but what else can I do?
